The Daily Observer hit the stands in Bangladesh on 1st February in 2011 after now defunct Bangladesh Observer stopped publication in 2010.
Following the independence from British rule, the Pakistan Observer came to the light in 1949. It had a great role in shaping public opinion of Pakistan, in particular, East Pakistan. After East Pakistan became independent as Bangladesh, the newspaper was renamed Bangladesh Observer and was published under Bangladesh Observer Group. It continued to ventilate people’s grievance with courage. With the passage of time, the youth of the newspaper declined and eventually it was closed in 2010.
